Yesterday, I shared my experience exploring the Library of Congress, and today I wanted to share what it was like having the opportunity to attend the National Book Festival that same day...... Not only did I have an opportunity to see the Library of Congress, but it was also my first time visiting Capital Hill!
As the founder of WORxK Solutions, where we proudly position ourselves as "The Rx for Career Success," attending the National Book Festival on August 24, 2024, was a profoundly inspiring experience. The festival, hosted by the Library of Congress, brought together authors, thought leaders, and organizations dedicated to making a difference in the world—just as we strive to do every day at WORxK Solutions.
Being among other authors and organizations who focus on social justice and social impact resonated deeply with me, particularly in the context of my recently released books, Introduction to the REBT DEIA Framework and Colorful Careers in Healthcare. These works are a testament to my commitment to fostering change through education, empowerment, and resilience.
The festival’s theme, “Books Build Us Up,” perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the event and aligns with our mission at WORxK Solutions. Whether through literature or career coaching, we understand the power of words to inspire, connect, and drive meaningful change. Walking through the convention center, seeing fellow authors passionately sharing their stories, and witnessing the impact of their work reinforced the importance of what we do at WORxK Solutions.
